You wouldn't know it by looking at her or talking to her because her various neuroses tend to manifest themselves early into a conversation, but if there's anything Meredith understands, it's people and how they behave. After all, intelligent girls are more depressed. It rarely shows, though. Mer can giggle and tease with the best of them and she is absolutely boy-crazy. Probably more than a surgeon ought to be, but Mer has issues with love. Her father abandoned her for another family and her mother pretty much ignored her. It's no wonder she went through a goth phase as a teenager. She sees the world in shades of grey (no relation to her name whatsoever, no), and it's precisely this that lands her into trouble professionally and personally. She will tamper with experimental trials to save the wife of a man she sees as her father or sleep with a married man because she knows she's the one he's truly in love with. She'll reap the consequences later. Mer is also a loyal friend. She is always there when people need her to dance it out with them or lie on the bathroom floor and grieve. The problem is, no one actually knows when she's grieving unless she lets them in on it and very rarely is that the case. If something is wrong with her, she'll insist there isn't and start an enormous row over her well-being for no reason. Abilities: For all her faults and hangups, Meredith is definitely her mother's daughter and a very capable surgeon. She has an extremely bright future and career ahead of her if her bad personal life choices don't get in the way. Weaknesses: Boys and tequila. Never should she be allowed to mix the two, or else she will be looking for someone to whinge to over how stupid the boy and his boy penis are. Stress isn't a good thing for Mer either, because while she can withstand the pressure, she crumbles rather easily on the inside.
